Who might Gov.-elect Beverly Perdue appoint to her Cabinet?…National Education Association executive director John Wilson may be under consideration for an advisory role in education, although the state Superintendent of Public Instruction is elected separately from the Cabinet.
No surprise there. After all, the NEA generously $upported Perdue’s campaign.
What? Did you really expect her to bring change to Raleigh? The joke is on you.
By the way, the appointment is important because the governor’s education adviser serves as a liaison between the governor and the State Board of Education. Serving as education advisor also puts one in a good position to get a job with DPI (See J.B. Buxton).
