    NC DNPE: Estimated homeschool enrollment increased nearly 21% last year

    Wow. The North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education (NC DNPE) reported that estimated homeschool enrollment was 179,900 last school year, a 20.6% increase from the year before.

    Homeschool registration website is back up and running

    The notice of intent website crashed on July 1 due to unprecedented demand.  The website has been restored. Last school year, the estimated homeschool enrollment was 149,173 students.  I predict that the number will exceed 160,000 during the 2020-21 school year.

    Families have much more favorable view of homeschooling
