NCAE Supports School Choice…in Higher Education

I am happy that the North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) and the Legislative Black Caucus Foundation encourage folks to support HBCUs in North Carolina.  Our state has some of the best historically Black colleges and universities in the nation.  They are the ideal choice for many students of color.

School choice opponents in the NCAE and North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus: Why is choice good in higher education but not K-12 education? Shouldn’t you support charter and private schools designed to replicate the HBCU model for primary and secondary school students?
