In a letter to members of the NC General Assembly, the president of the North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) had the audacity to claim that they were writing “On behalf of the nearly 100,000 public school educators and the 1.5 million public school students in North Carolina…”

A more accurate count is approximately 17,500 teachers and precisely 0 public school students.
