Next week is National School Choice Week (NSCW).  NSCW is when thousands join to celebrate the ability of parents to choose the school or learning environment that best fits their children.

This year, National School Choice Week is January 24-30, 2021.  As you might expect, with the pandemic, many events are virtual or socially distanced. To learn more about NSCW and events  in North Carolina click here.

The John Locke Foundation will be having two virtual events next week to commemorate NSCW.

On Monday January 25th Corey DeAngelis of the Reason Foundation and Terry Stoops and Bob Luebke of the John Locke Foundation will be guests of the Shaftesbury Society. DeAngelis will talk his recent John Locke – Reason study which assessed the impacts of statewide Education Savings Accounts in North Carolina. Stoops and Luebke will provide local context for the study and share thoughts on the general climate for school choice in our state. Register for this noontime event here.

On Thursday, January 28th, Terry Stoops and Bob Luebke will also join John Locke Foundation President, Donald Bryson at noon to discuss the results of the January Civitas School Choice Poll. Register for this virtual event here.
