NC bars and taverns struggle to stay afloat

Among the North Carolina businesses hardest hit by Gov. Roy Cooper’s COVID-19 shutdowns are bars, taverns, and distillers. Very few customers means very little — if any — revenue to pay the bills and the employees. For some, it’s the end of the line. Others are suing to try and save what’s left of their livelihoods. 

How does this end, and where? I talked with Carolina Journal Managing Editor John Trump about the plight of North Carolina’s bars, taverns, and distillers.  He’s been following the story for months.
