Among the North Carolina businesses hardest hit by Gov. Roy Cooper’s COVID-19 shutdowns are bars, taverns, and distillers. Very few customers means very little — if any — revenue to pay the bills and the employees. For some, it’s the end of the line. Others are suing to try and save what’s left of their livelihoods.
