Ok, she claims that she’s not “complaining” but “speaking on real life happenings.”
It’s amusing that teachers are “speaking on real life happenings” about the taxes withheld from their bonus. Republican lawmakers have done everything in their power to reduce educators’ tax burden, much to the dismay of Democrats, the NC Association of Educators, and public school advocacy organizations.
If you want to raise taxes to support raises for teachers, you support raising taxes on teachers. Sometimes those taxes are obvious. Sometimes those taxes come in the form of higher prices for goods and services.
