The Hill reports today on the growing “Hollywood boycott” of Georgia because Hollywood leftists disagree with a bill before the Georgia legislature:
A growing list of Hollywood celebrities signed onto a letter sent to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) threatening to push film production crews to abandon the state if the pending “heartbeat” abortion bill becomes law.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, more than 40 prominent actors have already signed onto the letter as of Thursday.
Rosie O’Donnell, Gabrielle Union Patton Oswalt, Amy Schumer, Ben Stiller, Sarah Silverman, Amy Schumer, Don Cheadle, Mia Farrow, Essence Atkins, Uzo Aduba, and Christina Applegate are among those who have signed the letter. …
In the letter, the actors start off by complimenting the state for its “friendly and caring” citizens and for having hotels and restaurants that are “comfortable and of high quality.”
They also point to the billions of dollars in economic activity it has seen in recent years from Hollywood production companies since the state passed generous production tax credits, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
“But we cannot in good conscience continue to recommend our industry remain in Georgia if H.B. 481 becomes law,” they continue.
Are they prepared to follow through with their charade to the point where Georgia state policy must effectively be run by Hollywood activists first?
