Today, Rick Hess of the American Enterprise Institute released the 2019 RHSU Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings.  The rankings examine the influence of academics who write about education policy.

Only two scholars from North Carolina made the cut: Duke University professors Helen Ladd (#54) and Charles Clotfelter (#75).  Nine scholars from my alma mater, the University of Virginia, were included.

Eight of the top 25 scholars are at Stanford.  Overall, Stanford, Harvard, and UCLA appear to be the centers of influence in the education policy world.
