NC is 7th on CER’s Parent Power Index

On the Center for Education Reform’s (CER) 2018 Parent Power Index, North Carolina is ranked 7th in the nation with an overall PPI score of 73.0 percent.  CER writes,

Things are looking up for parents of the Tarheel state. Improvements to the state’s charter law and school choice progams have led to meaningful increases in the number of families taking advantage of both of these options. However, the state should do more to promote personalized learning and develop a high-quality teaching workforce.

Florida (ranked 1st in the nation) is the only state in the Southeast with a higher PPI score.
