Red4EdNC to hold event at Wake County public school

Tomorrow, members of Red4EdNC will hold a Teacher Town Hall/Press Conference at Leesville Road High School.  Red4EdNC leader Angela Scioli teaches social studies at Leesville Road.

According to the group’s FAQs:

Our strategy provides a way to take effective action, quietly. Most of the essential phases – joining a private email group or FB page, electing a school leader, signing commitments (via a google form), pledging your school to a regional teacher leader – all happen “under the radar”. Public acts will not be needed unless the legislature fails to act on our legislative agenda, and then those cations will escalate gradually. If and when we get to that action stage, there will be overwhelming numbers of people participating, so there will be relative safety in numbers.

This event doesn’t seem so “quiet” to me.
