Former U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Tip O’Neill is credited with coining the phrase “all politics is local.” If Speaker O’Neill is correct, then all meaningful citizen activism is also local. Wake County, N.C., activist Joey Stansbury joins Terry to discuss the principles of successful activism, the state of local activism in North Carolina, and the use of technology and social media to conduct activism locally.
