Join us at 12 Noon in downtown Raleigh, or live on Facebook. We’ll hear about history and small business. Today, many small business owners see government as their biggest obstacle, but that was not always the case. In this presentation, Prof. Ben Waterhouse of UNC-Chapel Hill will recount the history of small business political activism in the twentieth century. From the anti-chain store movement of the 1920s and 1930s to the consumer movement of the 1960s and 1970s, small businesses often saw big government as an ally and protector against Big Business.
