Mike Antonucci of the Education Intelligence Agency recently published membership and financial data for all state affiliates of the National Education Association during the 2015-16 school year.
According to the data, the North Carolina Association of Educators had a 8.6 percent drop in membership compared to the year before and was one of 19 affiliates to have an operating deficit in 2015-16.
