$30 Million Spent and Southport ‘Megaport’ Still Vacant Land

Would you like to own 600 acres of waterfront land in Southport? The State of North Carolina already does, having spent $30 million to buy the land for a massive cargo facility dubbed the ‘megaport.’ Problem is, the land is still vacant and its value is about half of what the state paid.
