Five hundred years have passed since the obscure German monk Martin Luther launched what became known as the Protestant Reformation.
But that 500-year-old event continues to play a role in our lives, as Duke political science and philosophy professor Michael Gillespie explained during a presentation Monday for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. (Read a transcript of the lecture here.)
