How Will You Benefit When We Abolish Oppressive Health Care Laws?

North Carolina requires hospitals and doctor groups to apply for and receive a government permission slip before building/expanding/offering new services, beds, etc. It’s called “Certificate of Need” and it smothers competition that leads to lower costs and greater access to care. Most states have repealed their “CON” laws. North Carolina has not — but should. Watch JLF’s Katherine Restrepo explain what happens when CON laws are lifted.
