My newsletter takes its cue from Cicero (via John Hood) and reiterates something I’ve said before: doing something to help the poor should, at the very least, actually help the poor.
I expand on that concept in four radical ways.
- Policies put forth to help the poor should actually work to help the poor.
- If those policies fail, they should be repealed.
- Practices and systems that help the poor should be encouraged.
- Practices and systems that help the poor must certainly not be thwarted or discouraged.
