Economic development failure of the moment: Special bad paint edition

The NFL Hall of Fame is located in Canton, OH and every year the first preseason NFL game is held in the city the day after the HOF inductions. It’s a pretty big deal, both athletically and for the city economically. Unfortunately for Canton, this year’s event will long be remembered for the wrong reason. The game, you see, was cancelled after the wrong sort of paint was used on the city-owned field, rendering it unsafe for play. Yes, really.
