Then, enjoy the news of a sweetheart deal the Jackson County Commissioners swung with the Nantahala Outdoor Center for, of all things, a world-class outdoor entertainment complex.
And so, if the outdoor entertainment place will be closed anytime you manage to get some time off work, maybe you can get your money’s worth after five back-to-back shifts by propping your eyelids open with toothpicks to watch “Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri” when it goes to Netflix. This great movie but-for’ed Western North Carolina with a chunk of the $125 million in free money being given away as the NC Film Office faithfully fulfills its essential role of government.
Know what? I’m still waiting to see a report documenting the manifestation of the millions of dollars promised by any crony since the great hollowing out of the economy – which amazingly coincided with decisions that made kissing up more lucrative than making stuff.
