The Buncombe County Commissioners did something good tonight. They voted to help financially support a veterans court. Working with felons, it seeks to dry out addicts, get those with mental issues on the right meds, mentor, counsel, and otherwise strive to get those who were damaged while serving our country back to where they can feel good about being contributing members of society again. I could make a snarky comment about the weird line of questioning that kept the meeting running longer than I wanted to be there, but I’ll quit on a positive note.
