As the NCGA goes about defunding centers, one, the LGBT Center at Appalachian State University, has just gotten a new name: the Bo Henderson and Ed Springs LGBT Center.
The center for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students opened Oct. 3, 2008, to provide resources, support, information and a welcoming atmosphere for LGBT individuals and their allies.
That would be just about all of us. Why don’t they just call it the center?
