Former NCAE members question the union’s performance

A WSOC-TV report may have some teachers rethinking their position on performance pay.

Reporter Dave Faherty interviewed former members of the NC Association of Educators (NCAE) who are unhappy with the NCAE’s ability to secure generous salaries for themselves but not public school teachers.

NCAE employees will receive their handsome pay and benefits regardless of what they accomplish during the legislative session or in the courts.  If this is an ineffective or undesirable arrangement, perhaps a performance-based system is needed.  Just sayin’. (Click on image to see video)
