Cato gives NC an ‘F’ for poor reporting of school data

According to a new report published by the Cato Institute, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction does a poor job of reporting financial information about public schools.

Although North Carolina earned a failing grade, it did not receive one of the lowest overall scores.  In fact, the state tied for 33rd out of 50 states.

Obviously, the “Public Accessibility” measure was the one bright spot.
