If the projection of more than three feet of sea-level rise by 2100 has you ready to scuttle your North Carolina beach house, noted climate science expert Patrick Michaels might be ready to take that property off your hands.

Michaels devotes a new John Locke Foundation report to debunking the faulty science underlying the N.C. Coastal Resources Commission’s sea-level claims. State lawmakers have set a moratorium until 2016 on any use of CRC projections to limit coastal development.

Projections of major sea-level rise are tied to models that suggest large-scale global warming. But Michaels says the “sensitivity” of those models is off. Earlier this year, Michaels explained for Carolina Journal Radio/CarolinaJournal.tv why this matters.
