• Attorneys for former N.C. Democratic Party staffer Adriadn Ortega, who has sued the party and chairman David Parker for defamation in a sexual harassment dispute, have asked to depose Parker during the Democratic National Convention.


• Ortega’s lead attorney, Kieran Shanahan, will host a fundraiser for 7th Congressional District Republican candidate David Rouzer featuring Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-5th District, at the Shanahan home in Raleigh.
