The federal government raised some constitutional red flags last year when it targeted and killed al-Qaeda operative and U.S. citizen Anwar al-Awlaki in Yemen.

Doug Bandow, senior fellow at the Cato Institute, and Afsheen John Radsan, founder of the National Security Forum and William Mitchell College of Law professor, discussed the legal and constitutional implications of al-Awlaki’s killing during a forum today sponsored by the John Locke Foundation and Campbell University Law School Federalist Society.

In the video clip below, Bandow and Radsan discuss some key implications of the al-Awlaki case.
