Obama’s higher education gambit

In his efforts at diverting attention from the weakness of the economy and the looming debt avalanche, Obama has been wrapping himself in sacred cow issues, especially education. Even though it’s clear that America has already badly oversold higher education, with millions of college grads who know little more than when they left high school, working in jobs that don’t call for any advanced academic study, Obama says that we need to push it still more.
