If any city deserves to win federal recognition as “America’s World War II City,” advocates say Wilmington deserves the honor.

Author, military historian, and Wilmington native Wilbur Jones explained why during a presentation today to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. In the video clip below, Jones describes the process he and fellow Wilmington residents have pursued to win the recognition.
