Next year, the Stoops family will send two boys to a Wake County elementary school.  (This is fair warning, elementary teachers.)  So, I checked out the Wake County Student Assignment Plan website to get a list of our options.  My address was the only information required.

From Node 4750 in southern Wake County, we were given the choice of 13 magnet/application schools and the following elementary schools:

Willow Springs Elementary (Y)(RC)

Vance Elementary (Y)

Banks Road Elementary (Y)(RC)

Fuquay-Varina Elementary (T)

Ballentine Elementary (Y)

Lincoln Heights Elementary (T)

RC indicates that the school is a high-performing Regional Choice School. T and Y signify traditional and year-round calendars, respectively.  There are codes for each of the magnet schools that describe their instructional or curricular focus.  The website allows users to get a complete profile of the school by clicking on the name.

Overall, the website is pretty easy to use and understand.
