The word “jobs” has occupied a great deal of attention in recent political discourse. The next edition of Carolina Journal Radio will tackle the national and North Carolina jobs pictures from several angles.

You’ll hear excerpts from President Obama’s speech in Raleigh promoting his American Jobs Act, along with a critique from Roy Cordato. John Hood will compare Obama’s plan to those put forward from several of the men who’d like to take his job in 2012. You’ll also hear what N.C. House Speaker Thom Tillis had to say about jobs during a recent speech in Charlotte.

In addition to jobs, we’ll tackle education issues. Terry Stoops will compare North Carolina’s rising public school graduation rate to the even larger increase in the rate of community college remedial instruction. Darrell Allison of Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina will offer a school choice update.
