Unemployment numbers emerging from the N.C. Employment Security Commission in recent months have been tainted with a political spin — especially the report that implied a Republican-written state budget contributed to 11,000 lost government jobs in July.

Rick Henderson targeted that spin during today’s presentation to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. In the video clip below, Henderson identifies key issues associated with the availability of public-sector employment numbers and possible solutions to the problem.
