We often think of today’s major political debates in terms of Democratic vs. Republican ideas, or liberal vs. conservative ideas.
But the most fundamental differences can be traced to contrasting world-views that have battled for supremacy for at least the last two millennia. Dr. C.L. Gray, founder of Physicians for Reform, makes that argument in his book The Battle For America’s Soul. Gray discussed key themes from the book during a presentation today to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
In the video clip below, Gray describes the problems associated with one world-view, now represented by the post-modern belief that we can define our own truth.
