Before the N.C. House convened to consider the state budget plan that’s likely to head to the governor Saturday, Speaker Thom Tillis, R-Mecklenburg, briefed media on his assessment of the final budget product. Tillis also addressed redistricting issues and Gov. Beverly Perdue’s executive order on extending unemployment benefits.
