A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals has affirmed a lower-court ruling against Attorney General Roy Cooper in a defamation suit filed against him by his 2000 campaign opponent, Dan Boyce.
Cooper had asked a judge to grant a summary judgment in his favor, but the appellate panel agreed with the trial court to reject that request.
