The states’ key roles in crafting, enacting America’s founding documents

The words of the American Declaration of Independence have a history that extends beyond Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison didn’t help create the U.S. Constitution in a vacuum.

Troy Kickler made these points during a presentation Thursday evening for Campbell University’s Politics, Law, and Economics Lecture Series. Kickler emphasized the states’ roles in crafting and enacting America’s founding documents.
