Triangle-area fans of Texas congressman Ron Paul have a chance next week to hear him speak at N.C. State University.

The university’s Young Americans for Liberty chapter has arranged for Paul to speak 7 p.m. Monday at the McKimmon Center. Paul will discuss themes from the new book, Liberty Defined. The speech is free and open to the public.

Organizers say support for Paul’s views generated 26,000 members of a “Students for Ron Paul” group during his 2008 Republican presidential bid.

Those looking forward to the speech might appreciate a recent floor speech from the U.S. House.
