Voter ID has been a percolating issue in NC and elsewhere. Still, in reading the WRAL article “Opponents speak out against voter ID bill,” it strikes me that a physical show of numbers essentially sells the voter-ID opposition short, considering that any individual opponent against the measure potentially holds two to ten times as many votes cast against it. Perhaps they should employ mirrors at these events, or continually don and doff hats, sunglasses and mustaches, or at least produce an Internet poll that allows multiple clicks from the same IP addresses.
