Apparently that “doozy of a class” hasn’t materialized — or perhaps a premature boast about playing eligibility exposed a little too much of the athletics tail wagging the dog. Whatever the case, WRAL reports:

Kendric Burney, whose six-game NCAA suspension for receiving improper benefits from an agent ended after last week’s win over Virginia, still has an “unresolved issue related to the review,” and will miss the Heels’ game against Miami.

The ballyhooed Carolina Way apparently seeks resolution to the issue of how to get a student who apparently cheated in his last university class into another class in time to get him on the field as quickly as possible. Looks as if they’ll need a little more time to pressure some instructor, any instructor, help! into letting said student start a class that’s halfway over. Priorities, priorities.
