To deal with critics of the monstrosity of Obamacare, the DNC is going back to the same old beslimed well of personal attacks and intimidation that spat forth the ridiculous [email protected] email snitch campaign as well as a whole litany of insults on upstanding American citizens exercising their God-given, Constitutionally recognized rights.

Here are the details:

DNC promises ‘rain of hell fire’

By MIKE ALLEN | 9/18/09 8:53 AM EDT

The increasingly aggressive Democratic National Committee on Friday launched a new “Call ’Em Out” website targeting prominent Republicans for statements they have made about President Barack Obama’s health-reform plans. … The website is part of a larger, more aggressive approach taken by the White House through the DNC to push back against smears, distortions and misinformation. It’s taken various forms, including hitting back on Republican Medicare attacks with a TV ad that ran nationally and in 10 targeted members’ districts. …

The new site’s opening target is Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. A button urges visitors to “CALL PAWLENTY,” then gives his office number at the Minnesota capitol.

One of the tools is a Twitter button that can automatically tweet: “Hey @timpawlenty, quit lying about health reform. … #CallEmOut.” …

As we’ve seen in abundance this summer, the biggest “smears, distortion and misinformation” have been in all the manifold ways the Obama administration, the DNC, Congressional leaders and certain media lickspittles have attacked Obamacare’s opponents (why, they’re racists; racists, the whole lot of ’em — according to the 2009 Media Racist Decoder book that now includes saying “socialist” and opposing the public option and stuff).

The aforementioned “flag” email campaign collapsed on the weight of its sheer Orwellian overreach. It inspired an immediate #flagme response on Twitter just as the “mob” slander led to the #iamthemob tag. I anticipate this new shouting-in-lieu-of-rebuttal tactic to suffer the same ignominious fate of death by a thousand mocks — if there’s one thing the Democrats have done well, it’s been coming up with ideas hopelessly riddled with unintended negative consequences (reason no. 1.a. why we oppose their healthcare debacle).

But I’d like to help kick it into the pauper’s grave of stupid, dangerous, demagogic ploys, so in the spirit of #flagme, #iamthemob et al., I am announcing the #CallMeOut campaign. I’m doing it right here, and I’m doing it on Twitter at twitter.com/jonoflocke.

I’m calling me out. I’m telling the DNC that I believe in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and other foundational American doctrines of limited government and individual rights (you know, all those things which you now equate with right-wing extremism), and the time-tested superiority of letting free men and free women pursue, diagnose and solve the problems that confront our society rather than hold us all hostage to a self-appointed elite that can’t tie their own shoes without first taxing us for the establishment of a Shoe-Tie Czar. I know you have some rather worn-out epithets for such people. I can handle your name-calling. You can’t handle a free people.
