Yup. To — uh oh — “send a message” to street racers that CMPD will not tolerate street racers. Thanks, but no thanks. Your basic street racer does not watch TV news or read the news paper or much care what the rest of society thinks, especially the police. Because they are street racers and all.
CMPD must know this. So the PR stunt was intended to “send a message” the general public that CMPD is being oh so tough on street racers
