DOT = Disregard Of Taxpayers

First there was the botched paving job on I-40 that cost the taxpayers $18.6 million.  Now we discover that the person buying supplies for the department didn’t follow the purchasing rules, choosing to buy stuff from a friend rather than vendors that negotiate the best prices for the state.

Net result?  Thousands of dollars of taxpayers money wasted – again.
