So you have to wonder how many phone calls the Lexington Dispatch will get from readers angry over its story on the first baby born in Davidson County in 2007 — to an unmarried teenage couple.
Here’s another question: Did the Dispatch consider not running the story, taking into consideration the type of response such a story might provoke? Or did the editors just run with the routine human interest story to fill space on the traditionally slow news day, with no expected reaction from its readers?
Fortunately, the N&R didn’t have to deal with that issue, since little Emily is the proud daughter of Mike and Valentina Nicholson.
