Here’s a great comment from Elaine Mejia of the NC Justice Center, with whom we usually have a spirited disagreement on public policy. On the shell game being played in the Senate over the lottery, however, I completely agree with her.
“This is the most blatant example of political arm-twisting that I’ve seen,” said Elaine Mejia with the N.C. Justice Center, another lottery opponent. “It’s brilliant, but that doesn’t mean it’s right.”
