I must admit; my main interest in passing along the atrocious comments by Peter Singer is to quote from my good friend Randy, who typed the following upon reading the article:
i’m convinced that the ivies keep bug eyed madmen like singer around for ballbusting purposes, so that a drunken dean of the faculty can get a load on at the yale game and can holler hoarsely at his counterpart “Yeah? Well we have Cornel West!!!1” then they can both collapse in breathless fits of laughter and hiccups at the utter folly that is Harvard/Princeton/Yale education
i also think they pass em around among each other like some perverse game of academic Old Maid
