Forgive the double negative but some students at Duke University have asked the Palestinian Solidarity Movement, which is planning a controversial Pro-Palestinian march at Duke, to sign a letter condemning terrorism.

Rann Bar-On, member of Hiwar – the Duke group affiliated with the PSM, explained that condemning terrorism would violate the guidelines of the PSM (you mean, they actually have a statute that reads “don’t condemn terrorism”?).

“We don’t see it as very useful for us as a solidarity movement to condemn violence,” Bar-On added. “That will not achieve any particular goal.”
