Having just read this piece from Environment and Climate News about the windmill farms on the mountain tops of West Virginia — and the strongly negative public reaction to them — I find that I just can’t get the image of Tippi Hedren out of my mind.

Oh, be nice.

What I mean is that, given the ghastly carnage inflicted on our winged friends by the whirling, chopping blades, it seems only a matter of time before there is a massive and terrifying counterattack by the oppressed species. Only this time, it won’t just be The Birds. The swarms of attackers will be darker, and mammalian.
