Back in August Karen had an excellent Locker Room post on the oppressive anti “price gouging” laws in Florida (not unlike those in North Carolina). Today Floridians are paying the price of those laws–empty tanks. I guess our politicians would rather see no gasoline at a “reasonable” price then plenty of gas at $5 a gallon for a few days. Interestingly enough, in this article it is noted that the authorities have all the gasoline they need –and in the former Soviet Union the authorities got all the toilet paper and blue jeans they needed too.
