One of the competing national providers of satellite radio, XM, reports that it has passed the two-million mark in subscribers. That doesn?t mean that the company is making money yet, but it does represent a faster-than-expected rollout and strong consumer demand for the varying options that satellite provides. The service also offers a solution to problems such as obscenity on the radio (don?t like it, don?t subscribe, that way your kids can?t happen upon it) and allegations of political bias, right or left, that can now be combatted by niche channels.
