This story from gallup does a remarkable job of providing an overview of the link between “job approval” and “electability” as it pertains to the current president. Of worth is the fact that there is a great deal of volatility in the current cycle.
With five months remaining until the general election, it is unlikely that any prognosticators will have any accuracy at this point in time. But it is fun to watch all of the “what if” scenarios.
And on another note, though much discussed with angst in the popular media, the fact that LaToya and Fantasia were both in the bottom of the pack last week on American Idol is not a political mystery. Simply put, they split a certain demographic taste/voter. Having survived that split, I think Fantasia coasts to victory. Yeah, I’m watching, sad but true. It’s a great political show.
